Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd established in 1989. The company journey started in 1957 when the founder Late C. Rathi started to extract papain, an enzyme complex extracted from Papayas, commonly used for pharmaceutical as well as medical purposes. It is based on a large number of enzymes and was used by the company. In 1958, he set up India’s first enzyme manufacturing plant.

In 1958, he set up India’s first manufacturing enzyme factory. From then they grow up and today they are the largest producer of enzymes in central Asia. The company listed on the stock exchange Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE)

History

  • The development of an enzyme Papain pioneered by Mr. L.C. Rathi in 1978.
  • Super Organic Research Laboratory procurement to begin extracting some commercial enzymes in 1986.
  • Rathi Papains Pvt Establishment Ltd with the founding directors Mr. L.C.Rathi and Mrs. Savita Rathi in 1989,
  • In the same year 1989, Advanced Biochemicals Private Ltd provides national and international solutions for enzymes.
  • The first facilities of Advanced Biochemicals opened in Sinnar, Maharastra in 1991.
  • The company converted to a private company from a public company and named as Advanced Biochemicals Limited in 1992.
  • With the help of foreign collaboration, Advanced Biochemical products develop a fermented enzyme manufacturing plant in 1993.
  • In the year 1994, Advanced Biochemicals Ltd is merged with SQRL.
  • A specialized application research facility developed for Advanced Biochemicals in 1996.
  • The company products turning around and reported its first profits in 1997.
  • The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India recognized for the in-house R&D labs of the advanced biochemical industries in Thane and Sinnar in 2001.
  • ISO 9001:2000 Certification granted to Sinnar Factory in 2003.
  • In the year 2004, they ranked the largest domestic manufacturer of Industrial Enzymes and files its first patent.
  • The company renamed Advanced Enzyme Technologies Limited in 2005.
  • For a new export-oriented plant, Advanced enzymes acquire ten acres at Pitampur SEZ near Indore in 2006.
  • Phase I of the export-oriented fermentation plant in Pitampur SEZ near Indore in 2007.
  • As a subsidiary of Advanced Enzyme, Advanced Enzytech Solutions Ltd founded to cover non-food processing divisions in 2008.
  • Far East Ltd, a subsidiary of Advanced Enzymes is dedicated to serving the Chinese market in 2009.
  • The “Emerging India Awards 2010” awarded to Advanced Enzymes by ICICI Business Banking and CNBC TV18, for the Life Sciences – Pharmaceutical & Chemical Segment.
